WES
WES (Wireless Evacuation System) is a temporary, EN54-compliant wireless fire and evacuation system designed for construction sites, marine, industrial, and temporary environments. It provides 24/7 fire detection and evacuation signalling without the need for cabling or mains power, using long-life batteries across the range.
Officially unlimited, although Ramtech has field tested to 250 units on a single network.
For all WES3 units, hold down the A button and press the B button 3 times to turn them on. All units except the Connect turn off using the same method. For the Connect, navigate to the settings menu and select Shut Down.
On the Connect, navigate to Unit Numbering. Type in the number you want to assign to the unit you are about to pair. Switch on the unit you wish to pair and place it next to or near the Connect. Press and hold ‘A’ on both units at the same time. The lights on both units will change from amber to green to indicate the unit has been successfully paired.
You can initiate a test alarm from the Connect unit or Base Station. All paired units should respond with audible and visual alerts. Ramtech recommends regular weekly tests to confirm the network is functioning correctly.
Signal strength varies based on environmental factors. In open air, line-of-sight range is up to 1,000 metres. Throughout buildings the typical range is 200–500 metres. If required, a Link unit can be added to extend signal distance and strength.
